Chairman’s message

Dear Students,

With a great pleasure I would like to welcome you to the next 14th Postgraduate Summer School on Green Chemistry 2022. This 2022 Edition of the Summer School follows the previous one held online (2020) and hybrid format (2021) as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, we will do our best to hold the 2022 edition live and online as well. You may already know about previous 13 successful editions of the Summer School, in particular the one took place in Palazzo Ducale in St. Mark’s Square in Venice.

Main topics will be:

  • Benign synthesis routes
  • Green catalysis
  • Green chemistry for energy
  • Alternative solvents
  • Renewable and green raw materials
  • Clean processes
  • Education in Green Chemistry

We would like to tune this Summer School to the successful outcomes of the previous editions by having together:

  • outstanding teachers
  • major chemical industries
  • top level students

Scholarships to participate in Summer School will be granted thanks to the generous participations of our sponsors and available for onsite and online talented students coming from Less-advantaged Countries List. For grants motivation, letter of recommendation and CV are necessary. The students should not have participated in a previous Summer School on Green Chemistry and they commit themselves to being present for the full duration of the Summer School sessions.
Scholarship applications deadline is 28 February 2022.

– virtual: 65 €
– in person: 700 € (including accommodation, breakfast, and lunches for 5 days)

Further information, application procedure and programme will be announced soon.

In this Summer School, postgraduate students will also have an immense opportunity to demonstrate their research works during either virtual or on-person Poster Session of the Summer School. The best posters will be selected and awarded by our sponsors during an award ceremony.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

The Summer School will provide the best possible platform for postgraduate students from different countries to interact with well-known scientists/educators in the field of Green Chemistry, to exchange ideas with their peers, to create a research network, and to develop a friendship with attendants at an international level.

Proceeding will be available as for the  previous editions  on the summer school webpage.

I invite all participants to actively participate with their suggestions and ideas during the Summer School with the hope that closer connections are established also for the future. For more informations and a better understanding please have a look to the previous report of the summer school 2021.

We look forward to seeing you all online or in-person.
